Conrad Patrick McGovern was born on February 5, 2019 in Manchester, New Hampshire and was the first born child to Juliane and Kevin McGovern. From the start, Conrad’s bright blue eyes and infectious laugh were noticed by those around him. Conrad was attentive, observant, sensitive and kind. He was a big brother to Charlie who he lovingly called “Charlie Boy” and friends to many at his childcare, Noah’s Ark. Conrad brought so much joy and happiness into our lives. We hold onto the memories made with him, which include family walks, trips to the lake, a family vacation in Lincoln, NH and playing in the backyard at home. Some of Conrad's favorite things to do were playing in his sandbox, watching the garbage trucks come on Monday mornings, playing with his friends at childcare and attending any family gathering where he could be with his cousins. Conrad's most favorite thing to do, however, was ride his red strider bike. Onlookers often stopped and asked Conrad’s age when riding his bike around Dorrs Pond due to his natural talent on the bike. Conrad was so proud of himself when on his bike, and enjoyed trying new tricks at a local bike park. Conrad was to get his “big boy bike with pedals” from Santa as he requested, but passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in his sleep on November 18, 2021.
We cherish our time with Conrad and are forever grateful for experiencing his love and being graced with his beautiful soul. With his birth, Conrad gave us, as parents, a whole new understanding of love and gratitude. With his passing, he reminds us everyday to take nothing for granted, that family and friends are the real riches in life, and that life truly is all about LOVE.
